Southern Sun The Marine, Port Elizabeth

The hotel has a great location, right across the road from the beach and with convenient parking at the front of the property. My Loft room was very nice, but the shower in the bath setup wasn't what I expected at a 4-star property. The service was good overall, with friendly staff being on hand to assist, although the welcome could have been warmer. The room service breakfast was a letdown, with cold and soggy food. Despite some downsides, it's a nice place close to everything.

The hotel welcomed us warmly with a spacious room and a lovely balcony offering a sea view. Despite being located further from the lifts, the room was very welcoming. The location right across from the beach provides great convenience, and the property offers easy access to entertainment spots and walks along the Indian Ocean promenade. The dining experience, unfortunately, fell short with overpriced meals that were not up to standard, but the rest of the facilities were enjoyable.

The hotel had some positives like spacious rooms and a good choice of buffet breakfast, but the outdated furniture was a letdown. The service was friendly and helpful, but the dining was considered expensive. The location was great for views and promenade walks, yet lacking direct beach access.
